Our Mission

The Adair County SB40 Developmental Disability Board is a not-for-profit governmental organization that seeks to enrich Adair County to assist in providing essential resources to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Services Provided

Our focus is to support the uniqueness of each individual with developmental disabilities by supporting individualized services to meet each person's needs, choices and strengths.  We value the independence, the choice and self-esteem, the input of parents and guardians in planning supports, the importance of community in the lives of persons with developmental disabilities and the importance of persons with developmental disabilities in the life of the community.  And we encourage the cooperation with other professional agencies in order to provide a network of alternatives.  We feel this results in healthy individuals, healthy communities and a healthy environment.
